During the camp, we had river trekking , cross country hike, training courses like river crossing, water boiling and emergency preparedness. However, the planned survival hike to Mt. Manunggal was cancelled due to the bad weather.
The summer adventure camp also included Advancement for Boys and Community services. The community involvement of scouts and scouters allowed the residents to learn foot path making. While for the children (future boy and girl scouts), the scouters had two (2) Feeding Programs. For the environment, the scouts and scouters participated in a tree planting activity in the barangay. One of the best part of camp was after the community involvement. Scouts, scouters and residents came together to have the Lunch Budol Fight.
The summer adventure camp Scouters and Lay Leaders made it possible to share what scouting is with the community of Barangay Tabunan and these Scouters also made young scouts realize how fun it is during a summer adventure camp. Moveover, this 3rd Summer Camp adventure ended successfully with the efforts and support of the DepEd officials, the City officers and Barangay Official for the Boy Scouts of the Philippines.
