Understanding the SAMRO Seal:
The Laurel Wreath represents victory and honor; victory over The Five Rocks: Gambling, Self-Indulgence, Lust, Hypocrisy and Irreligion and nobility of our principles.
At the back is the Shield which signifies the wholeheartedness of the Rover Scouts. In the olden times, the shield is used for defensive purposes; it is also a sign of brotherhood, friendship and comradeship. It is said that the shield is held near the heart when showing the sign of brotherhood. Its Navy Blue Color represents the color of the 5th program of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines: Rover Scouting.
